Radio is at the heart of Classic Arts and each year we produce hundreds of hours of programmes on the BBC. In the field of classical music and arts broadcasting, our experience and output is second to none.
Our hugely experienced team has overseen programmes ranging from the series Peak Performance, in which the young England cricketer Ed Smith talked to leading young musicians about their approach to performance, to The Man with the Famous Moustache, a BBC Radio 4 feature about the French singer-songwriter Georges Brassens.
We make the weekday programme `Classical Collection’ for Radio 3, in which Sarah Walker and James Jolly present a selection of fine music in classic recordings; and we continue to make `Private Passions’ with Michael Berkeley. This award-winning programme has featured many distinguished guests from different walks of life, ranging from actors such as Sir Ian McKellen and Dame Judi Dench, to artists and novelists including David Hockney and Ian McEwan.
