About Classic Arts

Classic Arts Productions was founded in 1993.
It has since established itself as one of the most successful independent radio production companies working in the field of classical music. It has made a wide variety of programmes for BBC Radio 3 including

The Classic Arts studio recording of Thomas Ades’s first opera, Powder Her Face, was released by EMI and nominated for a 2000 Grammy Award. The company’s recording of Strauss’s Die Liebe der Danae from the 1999 Garsington Opera Festival attracted critical praise.
